Back in High School in FInland in the 1980s, I had this classmate who was going to the US - Reno specifically - as an exchange student for one year. I said "Cool, you get to see the Air Races". He said "Why the hell would I want to see that"? I just shook my head in silence.

Mr. Wright kept this beautiful aeroplane at Cottage Grove, Ore I believe.. there was a local airshow their oneday, back in the late 90's.. he gave me a personal walkaround (me not knowing who he was). It truly was a work of art, and Mr. Wright was as gracious as any man I've ever met.
